LBG Medical, formerly Langer UK, opened its first custom orthotic laboratory and helped pioneer prescription foot orthotics and biomechanics within the UK medical market.

After three decades working with thousands of clinicians, we recognised the need for high-quality medical orthotics that could be fitted and customised immediately in clinic. Development of our prefabricated range began.

Following two years of research and development, we launched the BIO medical range of prefabricated foot orthotics, bringing more than 30 years of custom orthotic expertise into a high-quality chairside solution.

Every device was accompanied by free self-adhesive components, allowing clinicians to further adapt and customise the orthotic for individual patients.

The BIO range continued to grow internationally, building a network that today extends to nearly 40 medical distributors worldwide.

After 45 years in custom orthotics, LBG made the strategic decision to concentrate entirely on medical-grade prefabricated foot orthotics, applying everything we had learned from custom manufacturing to the continued development and innovation of our BIO range.
